Welcome to the online home of one of Europe’s most successful music performance groups, THE BLACK KNIGHTS.
Founded in 1992, the corps has provided hundreds of young people from Gravesham and the surrounding areas with training, skills and experiences that very few young people can boast, from performances at Wembley Arena and the National Indoor Arena to multiple national championships and national television appearances.
The Corps main focus is to provide a wholesome and successful musical experience via the Drum Corps idiom, that is accessible to people of all ages in our community and beyond to enjoy, whilst supporting the development of creative and emotional skills through group learning and ensemble performances. The Corps also accepts a responsibility to introduce and train new members into the activity.
Senior Corps
The Black Knights senior corps are the flagship group for this performing arts organisation based in Gravesend, Kent. The group comprising of around 60 members, between the ages of 14-50, has won many awards and is competitive within the UK and mainland Europe. From the group's formation in 1992, it continues to achieve great success.
Cadet Corps
The Cadets program is a 'grass-roots' activity that provides 20+ children with a musical education and exposure to varied performing opportunities. Students from Gravesham and surrounding areas have the opportunity to follow the program from the age of 6, all the way through until the age of 14. From here they are then given the opportunity to join the senior corps and develop their musical and performing talents.
